Default Questions on my LS1 build

I am getting ready to build an LS1 for my 68 Camaro and I just want to bounce my ideas off of the members here. I apologize in advance if I break any sponsor rules. Please edit my post as necessary to remove illegal info.
I have a stock 99 LS-1 with 60,000 miles on it. I am looking to make about 500 crank horsepower using the stock short block and I don't want it to be too radical for the street. I think I want to go with the World Products Warhawk heads PN 025150-2 and a custom grind Comp Cam PN 54-000-11 LS1. The cam specs are 232 deg intake, 234 deg exh at 0.050"; 0.598" lift, 112 deg lobe center. Comp cams told me to expect an operating range of 2000-7000 RPM and 14" vacuum at 900 RPM idle. He said guys are typically picking up about 35 horsepower on engines already making 400 RWHP. I will be using long tube headers and some form of CAI. I will plan to use the stock ECM with custom tuning and start off with the stock intake, MAF, throttle body and injectors. I will upgrade all of those later as money permits. I will be using the T56 trans behind this engine and I have a 3.73:1 12 bolt posi in the rear with 28" tires.
What do you guys think of this combo? Does anyone have any other options they feel are better and why?
One of the issues I have now is that I can get the heads from my local speed shop for about $1700 or buy them online with Shark Motorsports for $1300. THat is a huge price difference so I am understandably skeptical about Shark Motorsports. Does anyone have prior dealings with them?

I have been reading a few other threads and it looks like the stock injectors may be a non starter. I would appreciate any help on what injector size I should use. I've heard 36 and 42, but I don't know which one would be a better pick.

40ish injectors should work with no problem honestly

How about the cylinder head question. That is my biggest issue at the moment. $1300 is a great price.
