Default Stainless steel airlid

Anyone have this? I saw it on ssclones.com. Its 99.00 for a 100mm airlid. It looks really nice and has to bungs for N20 built in. Looks interesting to say the least.

I've seen them on Ebay, and they've caught my interest just because I know it should be very durable, and the price is reasonable, but I don't know anyone who has one.
I'd also like to hear from anyone who has one.

I see fitment issues on every lid. 100mm for 99.00 is a very good price. I just payed 180 for a 102mm lid.

I have since moved on to a different set up but I had the 90mm version and the fitment was much better than any other lid I've used.

If you use a stainless lid, I'd make sure your IAT sensor is
relocated to elsewhere. Other than that, why not?

I already have a Fast toys lid. If I would have found that stainless lid then I would have bought it before I dropped the 180.00 for the lid I got.

Why stainless? Seems like it would heatsoak, bad.

I would plasti-dip the inside and outside of it.

I have had one for a couple years, works perfect.
And once again the BULLSHIT with the heatsoak, god damn you people the peice is about half a pound, it cant hold **** for heat simply for the lack of material. In fact air temps were identical to the stocker
BTW the fitment was about the same as any of the 4 other lids Ive had and it looks nice to boot. You will need to notch the plastic radiator support for clearance

Good to know.

I have a 96mm Typhoon intake and man I just drove it around for about 1/2 hr and put about 20 miles on it in Philly traffic and when I got home the intake was just as warm as my LS6 intake is on the Vette. I dont get why everyone who dont own metal intakes complain about heatsoak when we who do own them say that they run just as warm if not a little warmer then the Plastic intakes.

Yes, THAT would be cool, as long as it fit perfectly.
