Default Best tool to shave bottom of LS6 intake?

I don't plan to use a coolant line relocation kit to install my LS6 intake. I was just going to shave off the fins on the bottom. I've seen a few write-ups on how to but unless I overlooked it, no one mentions what the best tool to do it is. I would rather it be a hand tool and nothing powered. Thanks guy.

Definitely a grinder. Tried it with a dremel and it was taking forever to do one row of fins. Switched to an angle grinder and zipped all of them off in under 10 min

Chisel is the way to go, and if you want it to look pretty afterward, clean it up with a file or dremel tool

i used a flat head screwdriver, make sure you flatten it out so you dont punch through the intake.

I used a dremel with the little cut off wheels. It was a pain in the ***. The plastic kept melting and smoothing over the wheel. Chisel all the way.

as mentioned above, i used the chisel method, as well. worked great. i then hit it with some sandpaper. smooth as a baby's ***.

then i broke my oil pres sending unit. that's what sucked. i guess 1 out of 6 installs isn't bad

Seems like majority rules. I'll grab the screw driver and light hammer to handle this. Haven't gotten to it yet. Thanks again for all the replies.

Hmmm..... seven for the chisel, two for a screwdriver. And the screwdriver is the majority??

Use a fresh sharp wood chisel. You'll only need to lightly tap on it to shave the ribs.

I dont think I have ever used anything but a flathead screw driver and a hammer. Atleast 10 installs and troblem free.
