Default FAST 92/92 Setup Questions

Looking at doing FAST 92/92 on my 02 SS H/C full bolt ons (major mods in sig), other than the intake and TB (Nick Williams) what else will I need?

Can I stick with my stock MAF, or will that need upgraded?

With my setup (major mods in sig) estimated rwhp increase?

Have done some searches on here and used google but all the threads go in different directions and have different specs or don't have a cam yet or are upgrading heads soon etc... Thanks for any help

I bought a ported Fast 92 and a NW TB from Vengeance Racing to my setup and gained around 20rwhp from a LS6 intake.

On a side not how do you like the Stranos? Did you have other springs before them besides stock?

did you just buy the TB and the intake and bolt kit? Anything else needed? I wonder if my 36lb injectors will work.

I have only had the strano springs other than stockers. Not much else to compare to. I like them as far as handling but with my set up it seems as though the front sits slightly higher than the rear. Maybe adjusting my front shocks will make the slight difference to level it out, idk?

If you are going to have the car tuned for the new intake, I would go ahead and upgrade to a 85mm maf so you have less of a restriction. My car made 458 at the wheels with the mods in my sig, so I would think you would be pretty close to that depending on the dyno.

If you buy the intake used, then you may have to buy the bolt kit. You will have to clarify with the seller. IIRC, if you buy it new it will comes with it.

I don't see why you would out grow your 36lb injectors. My brother has them on his car (H/C/I) and Mike@ Vengeance said his car was fine with them. You could always call your tuner to verify.

Button style valley cover bolts.. i went to my work in the bolt bin and found some shallow headed bolts and they worked. It will not seal correctly without them. Get some fast manifold to cylinder head port gaskets. I had rtv my map sensor on the back of the intake as well it would not hold by itself. While your in there be a decent idea to go with a ls6 pcv conversion cleans up the engine bay nicely. My stock clamp for the vaccum booster hose would not fit over the intakes peice so i replaced it with a screw style clamp. It will throw the tune off a little are you getting a tune after as well?
Im running stock maf as well and it does great but would like to get zo6 maf 85 sometime.

I planned on a tune after the intake but the only problem with that is the only decent tuning shops are about 3 hours away. So I don't know what to do about that issue

I will check on the injectors, good to know you know someone with a h/c/i setup that is still using the 36lb injectors. is he running a 92 or 102 intake? I heard something about the 102's needing mid length injectors or having to use larger o rings

You wouldn't have a problem at all with the 36lb injectors, I have 60 on mine for when I switch to E85. If you plan on driving your car to the tuner, just leave the stock MAF on it and drive it easy and switch it out when you get there.

You should be able to keep your lid and maf just as long as you have a bellow that will fit on the tb/maf. Also I think you need the skinny injectors.

My setup is ftp 98mm lid, zo6 85mm maf, slp bellow, nw 92mm tb, fast 92mm intake, and 42lb skinny injectors.

Delete the MAF. A 4 inch piece of exhaust pipe is a cheap MAF delete pipe.
