Default anyone ever used summit turbo mufflers?

im building some new true duals (summit universal 3in x-pipe kit, ball in socket flanges, and mufflers i havent decided on yet).

im trying to find some mufflers that will be quieter than my dynomax bullets that will work and are CHEAP...

summit sells their turbo mufflers for $19.95

Inlet Size 3 in.
Inlet Location Single, offset inlet
Outlet Size 3 in.
Outlet Location Single, center outlet
Internal Construction Turbo-style
Muffler Material Steel
Muffler Finish Aluminized
Case Shape Oval
Outlet Style
Case Length 14 in.
Overall Length 18 1/2 in.
Thickness 4 1/2 in.
Width 9 3/4 in.

Now i figure these aren't great, but i will probably put dual cutouts on as well...so they really dont have to perform...just quiet things down...

I used them on a '79 Aspen Wagon with a mildly built 318... 5 ft of pipe off the headers, 2 1/4" Summit Turbo mufflers, then dumps pointing down.

They sounded mean, lasted forever, and were dirt cheap.

For $15 more a piece, you might have better luck with the fully welded mufflers. Im planning on using those on my true duals custome setup. Although you might be able to get away with the rolled mufflers since youre using 3" and there wont be as much backpressure. You probably wont have to worry about blowing them out, but for 30 bucks, why chance it?
