Default summit x pipe install help

I'm installing Hooker comp lt tomorrow and would like to be able to install the x pipe setup as well, ive read somewhere that driver side needs to be longer or something like that. My question is, what exactly will I need other than the provided clamps to install this pipes? I don't have access to a welder currently, I can in a few days but just trying to get it temp bolted up before I go down to the exhaust shop so is easier for shop cuz everything is already hooked up and all they need to do is weld it... plus its gonna be stupid effing loud if I can't very it put on lol. .... Any help/advice is appreciated

For the rear - You will want to cut the rear legs of teh exhaust as short as possible near the bend so when you insert them into the x the two pipes are as close toegether as possible.

For the passenger front you will need to add some extra straight pipe to get the pipe to go far enough out to have a straight shot at the header and then another piece of straight pipe to reach the header.

For the driver side it really needs to be all custom to tuck up the best but at the least you will need another piece of pipe with a slight angle, maybe 10-15* to go to the headers because that header doesnt exit staight back.

If any of this doesn't make sense to you then don't even attempt it yourself.

Does anyone have any pictures of an x pipe being used? Like under car pics looking up at the x and headers? All I have found is horizontal pics showing the exits, I want a vertical angle showing the header and entrance into the X

so i found a shop here locally where i live that has his own ws6 and knows exactly what im talking about doing. He said he would do it for 40 bucks.. SCOOOORE

but my concern is this, after i get the headers installed, i have about a 2 hour drive back to where i live before i can get the exhaust welded on. driving that far back basically on open header is obviously gonna damage my eardrums lol, but will it burn out my o2 sensors? should i just drive back home without them installed to avoid the risk of damaging them and then just clear the codes when i get home? or will i be fine driving home with them still in? its about a 2hour drive on the freeway the whole time doing bout 70-80mph

your eardrums will be fine.

it's your o2s and spark plugs that will suffer.

i drove my car roughly 20 miles on open long tubes. it killed one of the factory o2s and a brand new spark plug in that timeframe. maybe others didn't have that bad of luck, but i know i did.

Here is the first exhaust I ever built back in 04 using the summit x pipe kit and dynomax bullet mufflers. This notice all the welds where extra pipe was added.
