a/f ratio gauge quit working.....
a/f ratio gauge quit working..... I recently installed LT headers, I used the front two O2 sensors, & used O2 sims on the rear.. I drove my car with just headers about 60 miles to have exhaust put on... Last night on my way home the service engine light starting flashing on-off-on-off-on-off.... Now my air fuel ratio gauge will only read at WOT and then it will only show lean (Or 1 red bar)... I swapped the O2 sensors around from the passenger side to the drive side but it still dosent work... Could both of my O2's be toasted from driving my car with just headers?
I fixed the missfire.... The plug wire was off on the # 1 cylinder.... also changed the plug.... B/C it looked like hell.. I guess from no spark.. But I removed the O2 sensors both of them were toasted... Is this normal? And could this be my problem? I swaped the passenger side to the drivers side but it still dosent work.. It will show two red lights @ WOT....
I'm not sure. But I was told that the o2's needed like 12-18 inches of enclosed exhaust to give a proper reading. Maybe you did fry them by driving that distance with open headers.
You could try replacing the o2's because you definitely won't get a reading if they're both jacked..

You were running super rich with not only the swap over to LTs, but running open headers. Z28 venom is right the O2s won't get a correct reading...
So, you will probably have to replace both front O2s. It's really not the best idea to drive with open headers for an hour or so, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do I guess.

Yeah I just replaced the O2's Im still not sure if this solved my problem though.. Im still waiting for parts to put the trans. back together, So I will keep yall posted... But the only exhaust shop around that I would even trust to touch my car is 28 miles there & 28 back.. So I had to...Like you said you gota do what you gota do....
