I run both here as well. Even with the LS6 valley cover the catch can still picks up a good bit of junk in it. Inside of my intake and everything is nice and clean though so they are definitely doing their job.

With a 99 will I have to grind the boss off the block to run the ls6 vc?

Back from the dead. Ok, so I need to buy a 12589430 oil cap, and keep the tube from the TB to the passenger side valve cover even though numerous threads say to cap it. I think I'll run it to get fresh air in. Makes sense. So with the LS6 new valley cover that has internal PVC, if I want to run a catch can also, the top of the catch can has a line that runs to the vally cover snout, and the bottom of the catch can runs to the fast 92 intake location on passenger side just behind the TB? I plug the driver side valve cover, I do not plug for nipple on the passenger side valve cover as that is still going to run to the TB, I do not need the OEM ls6 style hose connecting the valley cover nipple to the ls6 intake since I'm running a catch can. I also need ls6 coolant lines and block offs for the rear, or I may try to heat and bend my ls1 coolant lines around all of the protrusions on the ls6 valley cover.

Do I have this all correct after reading different opinions in other threads on how to plumb it all?

12577927 This is the part number for the 2004 ls6 valley cover

12594779 This is the part number for the valve-less hose for the 2004 valley cover (which I don't need since I'm running a catch can and will have my own hoses in place of the 12594779)

12568011 This is the part number for the cap to plug the hole in the back of the driver side valve cover.

Part number on ls6 coolant lines and block offs?

sounds about right, but you need to 5/16 cap to cap the rear-most fitting on the passenger-side VC.

However, what i did instead was i left the existing factory hose that goes from the driver-side VC to that rear-most fitting on the passenger-side VC and capped the Y fitting off there instead that would have been for the hose that routed forward and connected to the old LS1 PCV. i figured this will help balance both heads.

the front-most fitting on the passenger-side VC still goes to the TB, yes.

the fitting from the LS6 valley cover goes into my catch can and then the outlet of the catch can goes into the intake manifold.

All I used was the 12577927 2004 LS6 valley cover, a 5/16" cap ti cao iff the Y in the existing hose in the rear that connect both VC's, and some hose i cut to length to connect my AMW catch can (which is pretty much dry) to connect to the valley cover and intake manifold. I also use the 12589430 oil cap.

i "road race" this set-up and it works great, no oil burn and sustained high rpm's.

Some guys have been running it like this on SD tune, with the OEM brake booster line still of course attached to the back of the intake:
