!egr/!air I'm looking to do both !EGR as well as !AIR cause im tired of that **** cluttering up my engine bay. thing is i know ill throw a code and i was wondering if anyone knows how i can eliminate the codes the cheapest possible way. I was quoted locally at 350 to just eliminate the rear 02's, egr, air and adjust for a set of taller tires (hopefully ill be getting those soonatleast). i mean 350 for something that i wouldn't think is that difficult seems kind of rediculous..how much do you guys pay to have egr/air removed from your pcm?

That is outrageous. My local ls1edit tuner charges $100 to do simple stuff like that: EGR/ARI, Gears, 160* TStat, CAGS, Rear O2s, etc.
Check out ls1speed.com, think you can mail in your PCM for $150 or so if you can go with a few days of downtime

There's also E-tune here in SoCal, very reasonable prices, formerly the owner of MMS, need I say more. 
I was thinking of doing the same thing. How long do you believe it will take with simple hand tools? To remove both AIR & EGR? Is it a bitch tracing the EGR wires back to the PCM and removing them completely? How hard is it to remove the actual AIR pump, do you need a lift or jackstands? Just wondering if this is something reasonable to do in my driveway or do I need to pay someone. I see ls1speed and others have the appropriate block off plates for a good price also.
