Default Intake swap

Hey guys, I just wanted everybody's opinion here on what I should do. Seems like I might potentially have an intake leak. If that is the case, soon to be diagnosed, would like some opinions on what to do.

I have a Lingenfelter/Weiand LSx aluminum intake (part #: 300-111) that the previous owner had, but never installed. I have read all the posts about heatsoak and such and not worried about it because the car will not be a 1/4 runner and will not be doing a lot of city driving either.

So all that being said, do you, or anybody you know have the Lingenfelter intake and what performance gains did they notice?

Also, what should I do with the valley coolant tubes? Should I just modify mine, or just dish out the extra coin for the ls6 ones?

Thanks guys, all help and input is appreciated.

if you already have the intake, I'd use it ...I am sure some owners will chime in, but you will probably need to convert to ls6 steam pipes and run the block-offs at the back of the heads...

Yeah I would also use it if I already had it.

Another vote for just using the Weiand since you've got it. Might as well do the '04 LS6 PCV conversion while you have it off as well.

Seen a few articles about doing the ls6 pcv upgrade. Obviously it'll help cut down on the oil consumption. But which is better, running the catch can or the pcv upgrade?

I personally like the PCV conversion as it eliminates all of the clutter. One can add a catch can even with the LS6 PCV should they desire. I'm personally just running the conversion.
