You only need 10 psi per thousand rpm min. but never hurts to a little more. Volume is what you want.

Is it a ported pump? What kind of pump are you running?

this is important, cause if you just thew a new stock one in, then this sounds about right. with mine i run 70-75psi cold and 45-60psi hot, i have a TSP pump, i also live in WA state.

Do you have the high pressure spring installed (red)? I have an SLP pump with the std pressure spring (Green), I sit about 40psi hot /50psi cold at idle, about 55-60 at speed @ operating temps.
75psi cold is pretty high IMHO.

75 psi is quite high. Basically pegging out the gauge...If you guys have 75 PSI at idle with a stock spring pump, you have something going on.

the pump i have is the TSP LS6 ported and shimmed pump, and i am very happy with my psi. yes the pressure is high, but my jeep sits at 70psi cold as well, and as i see it the higher the psi at cold start up the faster the oil will get to all the vital engine parts.
