Default Have a few ?'s about air intakes.

Ok so I recently bought a 99 z28 camaro a4 an it came with some things already on it like LT, ORY, 3" exhaust, an a K&N air intake.
My questions are the K&N air intake looks to be the K&N 57 series FIPK an I'm not a big fan of it an am thinking of switching to a slp lid type air intake but want to know which is better?
Also being that the car came with this I don't have the factory lower air intake box anymore so I will need to replace the factory lower air intake box.
Now I did some research an seen where some people say that any factory lower air intake box from any camaro/firebird will fit even the v6 models is this correct or BS?

Have no clue as to the lower air box question, but a SLP lid with a SSRA or Chris1313 is your best bet. Combine that with a LS6 intake (if you don't have one already) and a ported stock throttle body, and you will have the best intake flow possible aside from a really expensive FAST intake

Yep...go back to a lid setup. I watched a cammed ls2 gto on the dyno this weekend make 414/395 with an elbow and piping setup, then just for kicks we put an open bottom air lid and a piece of straight tubing about 8" long on the car and it made 438/415. Ridiculous how people think using a 90* bend and piping like off an LT1 type air intake setup is better than a lid.

Yes they are all the same, the only one that is different is the WS6 airbox. You can find lower airboxes for $40 or less all day
