Default Anybody go from headers to muffs w/ turndowns?

As stated... right from headers to individual straight muffs? Thinking about a powerstick or ? No Y pipe but dual muffs. I know it'll be loud but it would save a lot of weight.
Pics and opinions appreciated?
Thanks!

I've done purple hornies before on my old barracuda and i loved them. Here is a link, but you will have to find the right one for you probably

If you are doing it for racing it shouldnt be a problem. Daily driving will probably not be the most ideal that way, but since you were worried about weight seems like its more of a race application.

Not for racing now but in future for sure. This is a cruiser. I don't mind nasty n loud. I had a 70' chevelle I drove in 1999 Power Tour that had a 509BBC with dual chamber Flowmasters 3.5" dumped before axle. 4000+ miles on that trip. My ears have never been the same.

I'm not sure about other states but I know in VA you have to run your exhaust past the passenger seat. The law might even be past the entire cabin but I know its atleast past the passenger seat. Having said that, I know headers are illegal in all 50 states yet we still run them and the only state that seems to care is California but running the system you're thinking about will probably attract more attention. So it might be something to think about.
