Nice. I am waiting to rip my old SLP headers off and finally install my Kooks. I know what it's like riding around on junk!

I used to have a Camaro emblem on my neon beater to **** people off. Might put a GTO emblem on the Grand Prix next.

It'll be loud and raspy, that's for sure. But then again, no doubt your LT/ORY/FM combo was also. My LT/ORY/GMMG combo didn't last on my car for a full day.

I was impatient and had my gmmg put on right after I got it. I was able to put the rear on ramps and wetsand and polish the visible areas, though. I just wanted to see if I could, and kind of half assed it but it turned out pretty good. I just used blue magic metal polish over a finished 3000 grit, starting with 320. I found a little mini biffer wheel to put on the end of a drill at the parts store that really shined it up nicely, as by hand wasn't quite getting me there. I really wish I had just done it off the car, though, would have been much easier. You can't see it that much when it's on the car, but when you do, it's freakin awesome looking. Way worth the effort to bring out that beautiful looking exhaust.

Yea mine smoked too when I installed my new exhaust. It'll go away.

Is it raspy? usually GMMG with ORY and LT's is loud and raspy as already mentioned but yours doesn't sound terrible in the clip.

honestly what i think is rasp, no.. but at certain rpms at certain throttle it sounds like glass packs on a old truck i used to have.. but idling, cruising, and wot it sounds amazing... i have heard nothing but good things today when i had it out...

That's rasp. Some hate it and some like it. Mine has some in the typical 2k-2700rpm range but it's not terrible. I'm adding a SS work tube muffler to the I-pipe mainly to quiet it down a little but also to get rid of the rasp.

Congrats on getting the GMMG on now get to work on the headers! Oh and definitely do poly mounts while you're in there (if you didn't already)

I tried various arrangements with the GMMG (see the TorchD GMMG thread). After a few years, I got rid of it completely for a Hooker Maxflow single 3" exit with turndown at the bumper.
