Coil packs with heatsinks?

Coil packs with heatsinks? is there any difference between square truck coil packs and the round coil packs with the heatsinks on the head of them? i was looking at a silverado at the junkyard, wasnt sure what size motor, i guess a 5.3 because its a 1500?
