Default anyone try one of these intakes?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/170903363042...S:1123&vxp=mtr

they claim 17 more hp at 6200 rpm.

I asked them what kind engine they dyno'd it on and they responded

Thanks for contacting us. The dyno performed on this was on a stock LS6, against a stock LS6 intake. Similar, but not identical increases can be expected for the LS1's.

If your engine compartment is a stock 2002 LS1 this should be an easy fit except for the TB. Make sure you have a compatible throttle body for this kit. It requires a large-bore throttle body that has four bolt holes instead of the smaller TB's three-hole design. Have a great day!

a member here bought it and iirc it dynoed higher than a ls6 intake.

OP, if youre considering that intake, check this one out too

http://www.ebay.com/itm/LS1-LS6-96MM-ALUMINUM-INTAKE-MANIFOLD-1500-6500-RPM-SATIN-FINISH-/120887887588?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1c257ac6e4
They look identical and still cheaper. Also, contact them and they might lower the price. A member here did it.

There is no clear cut answer, some people say they gain, others lose. Anytime someone buys one and claims they will post results they disappear

I have seen it perform make some power on some cars and loose on others being compared to a LS6. IMO I stick with the LS6, any more than that get a FAST.

It's a sad day when the Chinese start doing knock off's of their own ****. That manifold won't be any cheaper than the Professional Products manifold after you buy fuel rails. They come with the Pro Products.

On just bolts on I wouldnt go with a FAST because there wont be too much difference vs the ported LS6 intake. You will see more gains but not big enough to pay over $800bucks for the FAST.

It said in the description that the manufacturer is Pro Comp...its a cast unpolished version of a Typhoon intake. I like how the pic shows a rectangle port intake, but the gasket is for Cathedral port heads.

Professional Products gives you all you need except
the button-head valley cover screws. Gasket quality
is a big factor and they were dogged by that early
on, and fixed it; they even gave me the updated ones
for free when I got a kit with the old style. What are
you going to get from the eBay deal? Ready to go, or
a small parts headache?
