Exhaust Leak
Exhaust Leak (background) I installed a cam, heads, LT's, intake, ls7 lifters, and hardened pushrods. I think I hear an exhaust leak that is driving me crazy. It's that light tick with the engine speed. I only hear it from inside the car and under the car. I waited until the car was cold and sprayed soapy water on all the welded joints and no leaks. Any help would be great.

can you feel any exhaust gasses coming out around those clamps? Those clamps usually seal like **** unless you tighten down with breaker bar, even then they can leak a little. To be honest though, I did not hear the leak. The valve train is going to be noisier after cam swap and with long tube headers, thin wall tubing when compared to stock manifolds, does not dampen engine sound like the thick iron manifolds...
All of the hookups with clamps have been welded. I just left the clamps on there. I didn't have the headers welded but used rtv copper. It could just be getting used to LT noise for me? I thought about taking another video from inside the car, but I'm not sure it would pick up the sound, I may try it. From inside the car I can hear that ever so slight wooshing kind of tick noise I remember from old trucks or cars that I used to drive years ago that had a manifold leak.
