MAF Question

MAF Question Hello everyone, I just got a LQ9 6.0 an is the first LS engine I have ever owned. I am changing the DBW throttle body to a DBC throttle body.
The engine didnt have a MAF on it, so I bought one. Putting it on the throttle body which way does the arrow for the flow go towards the engine or the air filter? Common sence tells me the air would go through the honey comb first with the air flow arrow point toward the engine. Went an looked at a friend of mine, an he says the arrow goes towards the filter putting the honey comb towards the engine.
I think he is a dumb a** but I wanted to see which way the pros say to put it. Thanks Guys for the help.
