Dbw issues---first post As mentioned, this is my first post and wanted to say that this sight has been very informative for all my ls questions. I currently have a 2004 lq9 motor installed in a rock race tube chassis. This motor will soon be going into a tube chassis hill climb race car. My plans are tsp 5.3 stage 2.5 heads, their 228r cam, connecting rods, high compression pistons, e85 fuel, injectors, and for now, stock truck intake and throttle body. My issue is with the dbw setup. While in my rock race truck, the pedal would not function at very sporadic times. It had only happened 4-5 times in 2 years, with no signs that it was coming. One time was in the staging lanes while idling, i went to move forward in line and nothing. It seems to happen while idling in park, then ready to move and the pedal doesn't work. I've never had it happen while driving. I've tried unplugging the pedal to reset, but that never worked. Unhooking the battery seemed to reset the issue every time. The problem is, you never know when it's gonna happen--not good when racing. The only thing that crosses my mind is that i modified the gas pedal to accomodate the chassis design. In doing that, i cut and rewelded components. Do you think that could cause issues in the pedal itself? Any help is greatly appreciated!
