Default How to delete egr of my 99 ss

Im buying an ls6 manifold and longtubes, i want to eliminate my egr stuff, i heard block plates work but i can use a write up if anyone has one

You don't need block off plates if you are getting long tubes...have somebody that tunes delete all the EGR smog .in your pcm, then you can do away with all that stuff all together.

if you're getting longtubes along, then just get offroad ones. if not just buy the block off plates. you dont need a write up. its pretty straight forward. swap your intake, remove the EGR valve and block off your headers OR just get off road ones. whether to tune or not to tune your pcm thats a different story. car should drive perfect.

Sorry for being a noob,thanks for the info, i wasnt to sure if i needed to block off anything if i got the intake and off road longtubes, but now that its clear that buying the headers and intake , that pretty much deletes it and all i have to do is get it tuned out right

Just make sure you buy the offroad headers, or you will need the block off plates.
