Lol it's not going to be a crazy difference. Just like a lid isn't a crazy difference by itself. Installed mine and didn't notice that much of a difference at all, even though I'd only had the car for a month or two by then.
And I think anyone feels the difference of day time in the heat and 45-50 degrees at night. But a muffler alone won't be a huge SOTP difference.
Try working on some longtubes and a OR/Y or true duals.

I just bought my car the 1st of the month it had a flowmaster i did not like it no sound and I know for a fact on my truck they rob HP (have electric cutout's) I swapped to a loudmouth1 cat back I got used off CL installed it and to be honest really didnt feel any thing and even racing my cousins 2013 GT 5.0 there was no change but sounded a lot better then the Flowmaster
if your going to do LT's & ORY do not waist your money on a Loudmouth system its just as good as straight pipes and makes the whole interior resonate!

Stock my 98 z28 Auto made 285 rwhp.
I added an MTI Lid and hooker areo chamber muffler only and it raised it to 292 rwhp.
I then added 1 3/4 Longtube headers and new y-pipe w/stock catback piping going into the hooker areochamber muffler and it went to 317 rwhp.
Hope this helps.
