ls6 swap gone wrong.. help!

So I just swapped to an ls6 intake ok my 98 Camaro and the only problem I had was one of the injector wires broke. I used a connecter and figured it would be ok. first start up it jumped to 3500 and stayed there. Second try it did the same and I tapped the gas and it stayed at 5k. What did I do? Intake looks like it's seated fine. Don't think I have any vacuum leaks.

sounds like a vacuum leak to me, does it make any whistling sounds at all? check the throttle body to make sure its not getting stuck with anything

Spray around the intake with carb cleaner or starter fluid and check the throttle body. And definitely solder the injector wire back together.

Ill try it. It's hard to tell about a whistle because it has a k&n fipk. And has a boost gauge(came in it idk why it's there doesn't have boost)
I think it was still around 20 which is normal on vacuum

has something to to with the throttle cable.. I took it off and it idled fine.

It ended up being some weird adapter that I left on the old intake.. Newb mistake ftl! I have a bbk 80mm throttle body. Is this normal?
It runs good now. Feel a good sotp gain. But i'm getting a random vacuum leak and it's causing idle issues.

^^^pull codes and make sure you plugged that map sensor back in, as well as vacuum connections at the back of the intake..

cool, I have done both in a hurry to button the car up and get it started (forgotten to reconnect map/vacuum line)

Just ran the codes and the only new one is for egr which is obvious. But now my vacuum is sitting around 15 nd idling at 1100. The search begins.. Plus I think I unplugged the oil pressure sensor on accident cuz i'm showing zero. Next time i'm taking my time!
