Default Ebay headers

Please, no ebay header hating. I am looking for people who have had GOOD experiences with ebay headers on a LS1 F-body, and specifically which ones they bought and from who. There are sooooo many different ones on ebay, and yes I know that a lot of them are all the same. Recent experiences are going to be more helpful as these ebay retailers come and go. Thanks.

I had eBay headers on my old ws6 and they were great! I made 343/353 bolt ons only on two different dyno's and had absolutely no fitment issues. My TSP ORY pipe fit them perfect too. I bought mine from Pal-Performance. Keep in mind I had poly motor mounts too so that probably helped too.

I appreciate your help, but that is why I am looking for people who purchased them recently. pal-performance is no longer registered on ebay.

I'm gonna go with the speed engineering headers. They are similar to eBay headers but come with a y pipe and are backed by a sponsor on here. Look up speed engineering

The OBX headers work great. I have used them on several of my personal cars (corvette, camaro, and now Nova). Not a single complaint other than cheap hardware. Use your own bolts and nuts and you will be great.

I have OBX on my gto, and the quality of them were great! It just depends if you want to pay for a US guy to do it, or a chinese child that is spectacular at welding.

Most of the ones I've seen have the egr provisions. Are there and "ebay" headers that don't have the egr set up? In stainless of course

Foooooooooocus...... Were lookin for guys who have bought them recently and have had good results. Egr, you cut off and find someone to weld them up. That being lets keep it on track, there are a ton of posts about these things in general. This thread is a quest to find a good set from a current vendor

I'm not going to be much help, as I bought my ebay headers from a local kid that bought them first but decided instead to go with Kooks and their TD setup, but I did notice the collectors on my headers appear to be a little better design than what I'm seeing in most of the pictures. Whether or not those pictures are accurate of the received product, I don't know. And I don't know who he got them from, sorry. But here's a pic of what I have now, you can see the nice, long smooth collector that has a gentle transition from the primaries in to the collector. I would try and look for something like these if at all possible.... (also, I had my bungs moved over to the correct sides for both headers and also had the EGR's plugged, which was not done yet for this pic)

I ran them on my stock internal SS. Made 385 to the tire. The only issue I had was the EGR and AIR tubes cracked at the tube so I just cut them off and welded it up.

Bottom line is these are a good option for guys like me that are workin on a budget. You are probably leaving a few hp on the table but if you're ok with sacrificing a few hp for a few hundred dollars then get em. It's not like the guy who has the same mods but Kooks headers is gonna blow your doors off lol.

Had these on my last trans am. 01 m6 ws6. Fit was excellent. Mine was from the previous design where the o2 bungs were on the outside of the header Instead of the inside. So I had a muffler shop weld new bungs in the proper place. Just $20 to do that and the seller actually refunded me $40 so it worked out nice. Ill be picking up a set for my new trans am very soon

Loving the comments and love here, but still lookin for specifics. I mean, just because a stainless header is sold on ebay cant mean its exactly what one guy referres to as an ebay header, right? Despite there being 50 retailers selling these things, i imagine there are at least a couple different versions of these that have been made since the time they became available. Again, what i am really looking for is someone who has bought them recently, can refer to the ebay retailer and say they had a good experience with them. Without that, i can just blindfold myself, point and click and hope i picked the right one.

Honestly, you're kind of over-thinking it. As we can easily tell, numerous people here have bought the eBay headers, and I highly doubt they all got them from the same exact vendor. Based on that assumption, one can also safely assume that they are all pretty much the same and will vary very little if at all. If you look at all the ads, they all look the same as well. You might as well just pull the trigger on a set, or otherwise go for the Speed Engineering set, at least that way you have a US-based, readily available vendor to help you out if you receive a set that doesn't seem right for whatever reason.
