I have one of the earlier versions and there was not dent. I experienced banging at the arc over the P-rod.
I had a choice of banging the pipe or banging the car and I chose the later. I don't spend much time admiring the under car LOL. Just fixing stuff.

I'm against putting dents in any exhaust pipes or header for that matter. Otherwise why do we call it "freeflow"??

Anyhow, the dent looks a lot worse in the picture and I seriously doubt it is disrupting the air flow at all.
