Get rid of SLP MAF before tune
I am waiting for my cam in the mail and in the process of gathering everything I need for the swap. My questions is should I change the SLP MAF that was on the car when I bought it before I get the car tuned or just leave it? I believe if I leave it and the MAF takes a dump one day I will have to either buy another SLP MAF or buy a stock/truck MAF and than have the car retuned.
I'm I correct? I do not want to have to over pay and get another SLP MAF if that's the case.
Any down sides to using a truck MAF with the harness that came with the SLP MAF?
Any suggestions would be great.
Thanks

I had no trouble from removing the resistor and using
the standard truck table, but eventually started doing
experiments on the SLP piece and went to a plain old
truck MAF off eBay and descreened it. Been fine for,
I dunno, 5-8 years on the car. After the H/C/I the
Z06 table was a bit more accurate.
