Truck coil pack question

Default Truck coil pack question
Okay, I'm looking for a set of coil packs to run on my 2001 SS. I read the sticky but am still a bit confused.

There are a few people selling 5.3l coil packs with the heat sink and brackets. From what I understand the bracket will not work on my car, but can I use my stock bracket to mount those coils onto?

And also will 5.3l coil harness be plug and play with my car?

Thanks, again I read the sticky just still confused as some of the wording was odd.

the truck coils will NOT fit on the LS1 brackets........the truck brackets can be modified to fit on the LS1 valve covers
