My headers were installed for $250. Which is a very lucky price lol but you are gonna love the sound of ST if you arent set on 24 inch.. check out 18 inch too, seems to be what everyone likes.

Are motor mounts ever necessary? If not I can skip that and just do the headers and exhaust. I'm working with a fixed, tight budget and paying $1000 doesn't work for me. I think I will just install them myself, hopefully won't be too bad by myself.

What would the surrender in sound between the 18 and the 24 inch be? People say the longer the deeper, I don't want too deep of a sound, I want an aggressive roar, I think I'll go with the 18s. Thanks for the help, I'm about to start pricing the system together now, just trying to decide on headers now. Probably TSPs but the 1 3/4s aren't available right now.

Not gonna lie..i didnt do mounts in a 98 with 100k+ on em, not to mention the cheapest ebay headers i could buy, they vibrate a tad on the kmember occasionally but they still work as far as im concerned, if it becomes a huge deal, ill drop the headers and change em because theyre just band clamped on (easy on/off)

Mines a 98 with 110k miles, hopefully it'll be alright. I just don't have the time for mounts right now to be completely honest. This car is my daily, and I don't have many options for work transportation. I'll probably have to request off to do the install. Thanks for the help guys, I'll keep y'all posted in the complete posts list one I decide on headers.

Oh another thing, I've looked at almost all of the major vendors, including summit racing, and I could find sweet thunders, or any of the other mufflers popular with duals. Anyone know where I could find them? (For a good price lol)

EDIT: never mind, found their website. Looks like a good product with better prices than I was expecting for a stainless muffler.

FWIW, dont be afraid of motor mounts. I read all the writeups and several comments saying ridiculous work ours and several days work. I was able to swap out my headers and motor mounts last night with a friend in roughly 4 hours on a lift. However, I did go with solids, so i didnt have to mess with drilling out the clamshells.

Didn't do motor mounts either with mine. When I had a y pipe it sucked. With my duals I'm fine. No bumping or hitting anything. I also got the SS ebay headers but I had no fittment issues with mine hitting or rubbing anything.

What kind of luck are you guys having with the SS ebay X-pipe? I ordered them under the impression that they tuck up well. Still have to decide on some bullets
