Question on chrs1313 Ram Air AC install?

Question on chrs1313 Ram Air AC install? So I got this started tonight and have the ram air in place. Two questions:
1) I have seen pictures online of the bottom scoop left as is and also of the longer portion of the bottom scoop (in rear) bent backwards and affixed with the 3 bolts that are already there holding the underbody panel? Which do you guys that have done this recommend for maximum hp gains?
2) As I have the AC version the opening right under the filter is smaller than the space allowed under the filter tray. I can slide my ram air around an inch back and forth on the top radiator support. How did you guys line this up before affixing it with the self tapping screws?
