Last bolt for Intake removal -help!

Last bolt for Intake removal -help! Any tips on how to get the last bolt on the passenger side out of the intake manifold? I know it can't come completely out because of the cowl, but I can't even figure out how to loosen this thing because the Tranny dipstick runs right over it and keeps me from getting a tool back there.

I pushed my trans dipstick to the side with alittle force. 1/4in drive deep socket should do the trick, be patient it will come off. You may have to lift the bolt up an inch or so and put tape on the bolt to keep it suspended while you slide the intake off.

I had this same problem on my ls6 intake install and was worried I was going to bend the tube. ended up using a combination of a open ended wrench and a gear-wrench to get it off. it took a few minutes to back the bolt out all the way but I felt more comfortable doing that than potentially bending the trans tube or poping it out of the trans by accident . push and hold it out o the way just enuff to get a 1/4 drive rachet and deep socket on it. once i had the socket on the bolt i just used enuff pressure against the rachet head it keep the socket seated on the bolt head

When I did the LS6 swap on my B4C, I just bent the tube out of the way. There's a pretty substantial bolt in the back of the head that holds the dipstick in the tranny via a bracket. As long as that's still there, bending the tube out of the way is a non-issue.

A nice set of ratcheting wrenches will be your friend for many jobs on these cars. My best advice on removing it is to lift the bolts up and wrap a piece of tape around the base so they wont fall back down. Takes a little while but works.

I forced mine in order to clear the intake when I did my fast 102 swap and it stayed I bent it alittle towards the passenger side(remove the dipstick bolt, believe its behind the passenger side head). Your good to put some pressure behind it. When I dropped my tranny the dipstick was fine.

slowly making it a little faster. got the headers and ls6 intake on a few months ago and got it tuned (check sig), planning for a cam this winter. you ever get your b4c all finished up with the light bar and all?
X2. clearance is always an issue when working in the engine bays on these cars. the gear-wrenches came in very handy on the intake and for the header bolts as well when I installed those.
