Cat Failure on 00' T/A

Has anyone else experienced stock catalytic convertor failures? I had one fail last year at about 24k and the other one last week (32k).

Any ideas why both cats would fail?

Both of my cats went bad within 3000k miles of each other in my '01 Z... GM using quality parts it seems

I recently bought a 00 WS6, when I purchased it they replaced the cats, then not 2 months later they BOTH clogged up completely to where the car wouldn't run. Oh this is on a 60000 mile car was 54000 when replaced and 56000 when I just gutted them and was done with it until I get LT's

If your car is killing cats quickly you may have further problems then crappy cats.

I had cats on my car for 40k untill they left when I put on flps

one cat went bad at 40,000 the other went bad this weekat 44,000 both replaced under warranty go figure?

i threw some codes for the cats and the O2 sensors a few days ago but im just gonna go with ORX pipe and O2 sims

my buddys 01 just had his replaced at 44000. I didn't have that problem and mine came off at 86,000

i dont have problems but im sure the cats and computer are under warranty for 8 years and 80000 miles

8 yr 80,000 mile warranty on the cats.dealer replaced mine both times no problems.

My 2002 Firehawk had a cat go bad with 3000 miles on it, and the dealer had no explaination.

00 z28 showed one cat gone bad at 24K, second was smelling rotten, now they RIP.

car was stock so obviously gm was skimpin on design.

What gas octane are you running?

I live in AZ and our premium gas is 91 octane ****, does anyone know if the type of gas you run can cause cat failures?

I know in some places premium is 93, i was thinking that maybe there are more failures for people running 91 or lower.
