valve spring question

Hey guys. Im doing a cam and valvespring swap as we speak and im working with my dad on it. He seems to think that the stock valvesprings wouod be strong enough to hold up on the torquer v2. With the research ive done, ive always seen that atleast push rods and springs are a must to avoid catastrophic failure. Though im not sure can anyone answer this for me? He also says that the valvesprings are going to be extremely hard to swap, with your personal experience, how hard are they exactly?

Valvesprings must be replaced. They can barely support a stock ls1, so definitely swap them out, especially for that cam.

Replace springs! they arnt hard to do.

IMO, they're time consuming to swap but not difficult with the right tools.
Upgraded valve springs are required(not optional) when running a cam with more aggressive lobes.

If you can go through the rest of the cam swap with success, swapping valve springs is comparatively a breeze. They are time consuming, not difficult. Good luck.
