air system removal question

air system removal question

A few months ago we installed some TSP headers on 02 camaro ss. In the process we removed the whole AIR system from the car but we forgot about this hose(circled in red in the photo) located near the fuel rail. Scene the header install the car has developed a hesitation under load. At this time there are no C.E.L's on.

1)Would this hose not connected to anything cause my hesitation?

2) What does everyone do with hose when removeing the air system?

right now i flipped up the hose to make it more easy to photograph.

i pulled mine off... 4 years, never had an issue.

I yanked the entire system off my last car and had block off plates on the manifolds. It pulled a CEL but ran fine. I don't think TSP headers are built to use AIR/EGR so I doubt that would be your issue. Has your car been tuned since the install?

I had to plug mine because it was idling at like 1300 almost all the time. Plugged it, runs great.

You'll want to remove all of that stuff all the way back to behind the manifold. There is a vacuum "T" fitting; remove the hose from the top and put a cap on. Done!
