Slp pulleys and ATI Super Dampers

Im so on the fence here. I wanted an slp pulley to free up a few ponies, but now reading post about how well the ATI is. Is it worth the money being twice the cost of the slp? Are the rumors about slp/power bond not having dampening characteristic / breaking timing chains true? my car is not a full out race car, but I don't want to destroy it either having fun

I've been running a powerbond 25%UD for the past year and I DD my car without any problems at all.

The ATI does a lot better job of dampening vibrations in the upper rpm ranges than the cheaper brands. A couple of years back there were several posts about people breaking timing chains and all were using something besides the ATI, but almost all of the cars were road race cars. If you plan on running the engine in the upper rom ranges for an extended period, get the ATI. If not, you'll probably be fine without it.

Considering the factory pulley isn't dampened, I think it's simply hype from the road racing community that has spilled over to the majority of cars which won't ever have such worry. I'm happy with my SLP: https://ls1tech.com/forums/generatio...nd-pulley.html

I have the SLP/Powerbond and beat the living snot out of my car. It's been running strong for years now. I'd say get the ATI if you have the money to blow otherwise the SLP will work just fine.

I have SLP, been on for 7 yrs and tons of track runs.... Zero issues.

I'm running the ATI 10% and Ls2 chain damper on a trickflow bracket on my new setup. Ati is less weight than stock and rebuildable. I want to be able to run my car in standing mile events also. A lot more time in the high rpms vs running down the drag strip.
