The one I got from ebay I had to trim about an 1/8" off the length so the lid would properly seat.

The only ferncos I have seen have been straight only and so thick/stiff they were impossible to get any movement out of which made them fit like crap. Guess it would work in a bind but to me it was junk.

This is making it where the tabs are barely under the provisions for them on the air lid base.
Is it just the angle or is it the length as well? Seems like none of these things fit well. Then again, I think the SLP lids just fit like crap no matter what.

The angle and the length. I had to trim a good inch and a half off of it and its so stiff it was pushing my air lid out of the provisions on the base for the tabs. I've got a ebay air lid from years ago and it fits amazing which I think is kinda funny.

Here's my bootleg bellows. It didn't fit. It was too long ans the notch for the TB was off too. I cut it down (using my SLP bellow as a template) to the right size and re-did the notch.

I have the eBay one too. Definitely needed a lot of trimming on both ends and cutting of the notches to get my SLP lid to seat perfectly.

Since SLP changed hands they have had their heads up their asses.

I ordered a SLP lid from Summit Racing, only the lid was in the box, no hardware, nothing. For 3 weeks I never got my hardware, even after a conference call with Summit/ SLP.

I had to raise hell with Summit to get another lid sent to me, was some BS.

Yes they do. Make sure you have time/patience/and some sharp razor blades. Go off the seal on the back of your lid as they will lift that as they are so long so you keep trimming until the lid fits perfectly. Only trim a little at a time as you also want a perfect seal on the MAF and TB ends. Making cut outs on the edges for the square portions like the stock piece also helps.

I put my SLP bellow on yesterday, I can't complain about how it fits at all. A little pricey but a nice piece.

Still WTF is up with that bulge in all of them? Looks tarded and doesnt seem like it would be smoothing air out, rather the opposite.

I believe its to allow a little flex from engine movement torque and not crack the lid.
