Default Will solid motor mounts cause false knock?

I've been researching and reading mixed opinions. I'd love to go solid for my LQ WS6. Have solids in my last LT1 camaro and loved them. Just want to know if it will get false knock or is that a myth

I have an LS with solid motor mounts and no false knock. Not sure if there would be a difference between aluminum and iron but probably not in this case. Knock threshold is still at stock values.

It has happened before to some people, but it doesnt happen too often. Maybe because I dont hear alot of people complaining about solid mounts. What is gonna be the purpose of your vehicle? Lots of racing?

Awesome, thanks for the help guys!

Blackpanther99, yea this car is a weekend/strip car. In my LT camaro I was constantly breaking mounts or they would get so loose feeling that the intake would actually hit the hood on launches.

I know a lot of people complain about vibration and stuff but the way I see it I'd pick performance over luxuries any day. I live in texas and have no AC in either TA or camaro. Thats what T tops or for. Like I said I love the solids in the camaro, I just read about people getting false knock in LS f bodies. But if the majority isnt having any problems it looks like I'm switching.

Thanks again guys

I get a few here and there but it's only when I go over big bumps. I have poly mounts though so there is a little play in the bushing and my suspension is very tight and stiff. I just keep the scanner with me and clear them whenever they pop up.
