That's how a cut-out is meant to be, so the exhaust flows straight when the cut-out opens...I had one hell of a debate with some young guy on here who said I was wrong & that the cut-out should be where he put his... in other words, off to the side, which meant exhaust gasses flow straight passed his pipe where the cut-out was & out through his muffler....A lot of you guys agreed....I couldn't believe what I was hearing from him.....youth of today lol.

Im not sure where to put my cutout. I have a 01 Camaro Ss with ls6 swap heads cam headers no cats slp dual dual cat back. I seen that qtp make a y pipe with cutouts and the bends on both sides I really like that idea because it would give me a dual exhaust sound but its discontinued now im not sure why? Is it better to put it in the "I" pipe for hp and torque?
