That really sucks.

Most anything can be fixed if your willing to spend the cash.

I would suggest finding a machine shop that can hot tank the block & heads.

Good luck

What the heck is all that? Is it discoloration or residue? The best advice I ca a n give is a mild soap with soft/medium plastic bristle brush.

You might be able to soak it overnight in some concentrated cleaner like purple power or simple green then hose it out.

Residue... It is dirt/sand with oil mix. I think the PCV fitting was cracked and let in all kinds of crap. Pressure washing did next to nothing. I cant return it...

Soak it in some hot *** water and a high concentration of Super Clean and see if it helps.

I would be filing a dispute with my credit card company or paypal though.

They are fixing it.... I should be receiving another one next week, but I'm not holding my breath. I do have a case opened with eBay.

Looks like normal oil and junk that goes through the intake, but it also looks like it was pulled off the car and sat.

Silver, were you aware of the poor condition of this intake (including the broken nipple) before you purchased it?

If no, try to return it for a refund.

If yes, I'm sure the nipple can be repaired. I'll second soaking it in a tub of purple maybe with some bleach added.

If I were stuck with this manifold, I'd cut the nipple flush and then (carefully) drill it out then (carefully) thread it for like a 3/8 pipe thread and then (carefully) install a pipe thread to hose nipple adapter. You can buy single pipe thread taps at Home Depot.

It was advertised as "Very clean with nothing broken or cracked"

It came form Kuwait (eBay). I was told it was sent my mistake and they were going to send me another one. Looks like they have sold around 20 of them last month.

I tried pressure washing it. That didn't help much. I will try the simple green and fixing the PCV fitting. Thanks for the idea.
