need instant header install help
also, dont jack up the pan without something across the pan. i wouldnt jack it in the ceter of a hollow pan. btw. i have installed multiple brand headers and never had to jack up the motor. on the driver side you just need to pull the oil filter and plug usuallly.
Install went pretty smoothly for me, cept for then I almost tore my starter wire in half and sparks starting flying all over me....yeah, scared the **** out of me only a little, but thats what I get for being impatient and working at night, also being too ******* lazy to get the sawzall and cut that ************ in half.....wewww, there I let it out!

Anyhow it is a pretty simple install, and depening on which headers you bought will make it easier for you. I installed the QTP headers and they slid up in the car like a.....well never mind, they slid in real easy, just need to remove the oil drain plug.
Also I suggest going with some new stage 8 bolts, it sounds like your old bolts don't like you too much

You are going to need O2 extensions in order to make it all fit, I don't believe you'll find them locally, but I could be wrong.
Just tighten the bolts...not too tight at all, but just enough to seal. The specs are 11 ft lbs first time around and 18 second pass. As far as o2 extensions, make your own. All you have to do is cut the sensor wires and extend the 4 wires. Just make sure you protect them with something. I wrapped mine in electrical tape and they seem to be fine with that as long as they dont get near anything too hot.
You can disregard all the re-tightening if you used high temp Loctite.
On my old IROC my header bolts worked their way loose after a couple of weeks and I had to buy new header gaskets.
Nowadays they make the gaskets better. And I am currently using Stage8 locking bolts so I don't have to worry about that.
Hopefully all will be good with yours.

i helped my friend do his, we jacked up the car, set it on stands, removed the front tires and went in through the sides, with a long ext. we did the job in 3 hours and a six pack.
