I am wondering if the #'s we have seen from the bigger motors are more from the TB and not the LSX.... Has anyone tested just the 90MM TB's? Can you? Many locally have tried just the LSX and 78mm on cam only cars and rec'd little to no gains. Just looking at the fact we have seen gains from ported TB's in the past this leads me to believe the TB is more of a factor here..

 

Good question, someone needs to try it, however, I think the LS6 TB opening my provide unwanted transitions and hinder air flow. But, that's all theory, only way to tell is to slap it on.

 

T/B bolt pattern's are different you would need to make an adapter.

 

the TB hole is way bigger than the LS6 intake...won't work

 

They sell adapters for it. I think they cost $65 or so.

 

Interesting theory, what kind of tb were they using on the modified ls6 intakes with the oval opening?
