I got a set of used heads that originally came from Texas speed. They are PRC stage 2.5 Ls heads. I would like to know just for my sake what the heads were or could have been in.

They could be 243 or 799 cores according to TSP's ad.

Where the 3 digit number should be has been shaved off and etched PRC.

there is a long number below that near the exhast ports. Could i get any info from that number or is it just a random serial number? I didnt know if this number was almost like a vin that told me year of the heads or what car they were meant for.

I have tried to seach for what those digits mean but found nothing.

243/799 heads are the ls6 packages

Not necessarily. They have PRC Stage 2.5 LS6 heads, which are either 243 or 799 castings.

Without any serial on them, it would be tough to figure out. Any particular reason you wan to know?

Yea guess your right, haven't been on that website in years.

They have twice as much stuff since I got into LS cars..
