Default Fast intake touching top of waterpump

I just got done switching from an ls6 intake to a fast 90. My motor is a lq4 with 853 heads and camaro front accessories. After I torqued the intake down a realized it was touching the top of the waterpump. Has anybody ran into this problem and do you think it will be an issue?

Yep, known issue. I hit the top of my pump with a grinding wheel. Problem solved.

My throttle body clears the waterpump. It's the front lower of the intake that's hitting it

We just did a fast 102 lsxr w/wilson tb install on my build and we had to grind the top of the water pump for it to clear. Its a know issue. I'd say just grind it.

Yep. Grind or replace with an LS2 unit. I just went LS2 since my WP had 145k miles on it...

The LS1 pump is two piece and the joint is right where the FAST sits. The LS2 is a one-piece unit and what the FAST was designed around...

It doesn't appear to be putting much if any pressure on the intake? Does anybody think it'll be a problem leaving it how it is

Yes! Pull it grind the pump. Mine hit too and it will take more grinding than you think. I have seen this several times.

I've seen similar posts for a while, they grind it down to fit. I believe the EWP will not hit. I'm probably going to upgrade to EWP before or during a FAST upgrade.

Just grind it a little where it is touching. I had to remove very little material on my 102 install. I will probably have to remove more material since my tear down b/c I am milling the heads.

My problem is I don't have a grinder...I don't really want to get 1/2 way through my install and discover I need to grind for the new FAST 92...
