Anyone ever use this intake???
Not sure how this intake works. Does the truck intake come apart and this piece bolts to the lower part of the intake? Somebody explain. I like how it looks for my next project but the whole intake is almost a grand and id like to save a few bucks http://www.ebay.com/itm/301080189692...84.m1423.l2649

wow it's just the top shell, those should have a base and intake runners and I've never heard of someone just using the top shell. I've been shopping the 102mm FAST for my Trans Am and have seen a few instructional vids and sites of how to install. I'm pretty much set on which one I want, I'm eventually going to pay the extra hundreds for the ported one, do it once, do it right. Peak Speed is well known for those.

Like it says in the add I think its just a replacement top shell so you don't have to buy a whole new intake if something went wrong with the other one. I'm sure you don't combine this with a stock bottom part of the intake.

As others said its the a replacement top shell for the FAST 102 truck intake. Since they could squeeze a bigger intake in a truck as opposed to an F-Body, the 102 truck intake is taller for added benefits. Some have modded F-Body's to fit this, however there's a debate as to whether its worth the modifications required to do so.
