Default Re-Released FAST 92mm (Black) Installation Problems?

I've got the new FAST 92mm intake sitting in my garage along with a Nick Williams 92mm TB waiting to go on my LS6 swapped '98 Z28. Are there any installation issues I need to be concerned about? Specifically, is the 92mm intake hitting the water pump causing a need to grind the water pump? I don't have a grinder, so I don't want to be 1/2 way through the install to find this out. Any other issues I need to be aware of? I did the LS6 intake swap, so I'm fully aware of the oil pressure sensor back there, but anything else specific to the FAST 92 swap?

The 102 has the possible WP issue. Pretty sure the 92 fits just fine.

you need to be sure you have ls6 style crossover tubes for the coolant as there is no room under the fast for the ls1 style

you also need to replace the valley cover bolts with the ones supplied by fast which are button head cap screws like these:

I will be watching and curious to hear is this FAST 92 puts you over that magic 400 RWHP you have been hoping too see. If you have success, I just may bite the bullet and follow you down this route....

they fit with no issues. I just had to bend the front crossover tube a little bit to make room for the intake.

...my car is at Tick Performance for the next couple of weeks having their stage II T56 rebuild done, along with their adjustable master cylinder, and a stage II Monster clutch. My concern is that I went with the 28 lb flywheel instead of the 18 lb. one, so I'm afraid anything I pick-up with the FAST 92 installed will be negated by the heavier flywheel of my new clutch... It'll be a while before I find out. I've got to do a 500 mile break in on the new clutch and then I'll install the FAST 92 and have it re-tuned...

I am relieved to hear that the FAST 92 doesn't seem to have the issue hitting the water pump though!

I put the Fast 92mm intake on a couple of weeks ago and had NO issues. Fit perfectly! I went this morning to get a new tune from Mike at Vengeance PCM and I FINALLY hit my 400 RWHP goal! My final numbers were 400.1 RWHP and 389.3 RWTQ. That was on my heavy 18" C6 rims and in almost 90 degree heat too!

The last time I dynoed, I was at 385 RWHP, so I picked up 15 RWHP with an unported FAST 92 and Nick Williams 92mm TB.

This is on my stock internal LS6 longblock swapped '98 Z28. My goal was to hit 400 RWHP without opening up the LS6.

My 92 hit my water pump. You may need to grind a little.

When I installed my FAST 92mm it really seemed to me that the throttle body opening was actually angled up a little more that the LS1/LS6 intake. I had no trouble with the waterpump clearance on my LS6 swapped '98 Z28.

Not all TBs will have the same clearance, but the FAST 92 intake and NW92 tb have no WP clearance issues.

It's not the throttle body that hits my water pump. It's the throttle body mounting flange on the intake that touches.
