Default steering wheel shaking....maybe from headers hitting??? help!!!

i think it might be my headers hitting something. after i installed them, i had put two thick pieces of rubber in two different places so they would stop hitting. one was hitting underneath the body of the car and the other was hitting closer up front on the driver's side, but i dont know what the piece it was hitting is called. anyway, that rubber piece is missing...i guess it fell out. anyway, i think that piece is rubbing again. well, i noticed cruising down the boulevard yesterday, that my steering wheel is kinda shaking a lil bit at certain rpms. could this be from the header hitting that piece in the front?

make sure the drivers side headers isn't super close to the steering knuckle/arm near where it connects to the rack. we've had to remove that and move it out of the way before to get headers in and then put it back in and adjust it to keep it away from the header. if it's hitting that a little bit that would make your wheel vibrate i imagine

its the black arm coming from your firewall to the rack and pinion that controls your steering, it runs right by the header on the drivers side, you can't miss it.

no i wouldnt put anything in there, it would only fall out anyway because that arm moves when you steer the car. just have someone turn the wheel both ways all the way left and right while you watch it
