Are you referring to TSP's test? They didn't use two sets with the same collectors..and the difference was only 5 hp I believe.

Perhaps I could have phrased it better but the extra cost wasn't worth 5 hp to me. Maybe 7 because of my mods. Several people have reported no improvement in ET, or butt dyno.

If your on the fence, just get the 1 7/8 so it doesn't sit in the back your mind forever. Ill keep my 1 3/4 and enjoy them for what they are.

I personally gained 20rwhp 15rwtq swapping over to 1 7/8" on a H/C/I car. Same dyno, same header brand. Your leaving power on the table with the smaller size, do it one and do it right. I learned the hard and expensive way.

I'm looking at no more than $500 and not because I'm broke. I just don't see the point in spending a bunch on headers. As long as they are or at least close to the same length I'm good. Also it's for street/strip

BBK will get you way under $500 for everything and are American Made. The only thing we would upgrade would be the GM MLS gaskets in place of the BBK gaskets and maybe some better bolts like the ARP 8740 or Stainless bolts or even the header studs if you can spare the dough.

Even Speed will tell you they recommend the GM mls upgrade, which isnt standard on their headers either.

He is looking for headers that wont scrape on a 2" drop. I doubt either of those match that.

I have seen hit and miss with them. Depends on the climate i guess? Hard to say. If you have them coated you will likely see little rust.
