Default ls6 intake on my 4.8 , power loss?

I have a 4.8 with a big cam in my 99 camaro. Is the ls6 intake holding back power ?

What are the specs of the cam? What intake were you using before the switch?

I had the intake on the ls1 so when the 4.8 went in so did the ls6 intake

Do you have the truck intake from the 4.8? It won't fit under your cowl, but it's a better intake than the LS6.

I'm assuming you have a Comp XE-R 232/234 112... that is a pretty balanced cam in an LS1 but is probably rowdy in a 4.8.

The intake isn't holding you back. It's the 4.8 that's holding you back. But you can port the heads or throw some TFS 205s on there... would be a nice, high revving little powerplant.

I'm also considering replacing the stock intake to a LS6 on a 4.8. Was thinking maybe a 220 cam.

I went to get it tuned today ,not bad for the lil 4.8
