LQ9 stock headed 317's ideas. anyone?
Hey guys, looking for anyone with a 317 headed LQ9 block build,
I have a forged LQ9 and Forced induction is out of budget right now so I decided to go all motor and possibly a 100 shot.
9.8:1 dish pistons ( future boost maybe) callies rods stock stroke. .030 over, 317 heads and GT7 lingenfelter cam. That cam will be replaced. heads decked how much? ect. any input would be great guys, thank you.
Question is any guys out there making good numbers with unported 317's or 243's and cam combo and a vic jr. This will be injected by the way too. I was thinking milled 317's to raise comp up to 10.5 ish.
just looking for similar set ups, my main questions are compression and cam choice with this setup. I would like to be around 450 whp and then add 100 shot. this setup is in a chassis that weighs 2900 with me in it, im 230 lbs.

I know a guy locally that once had a stock bottom end LQ9 on his silverado with ported and polished 317 heads and milled .030 making very close to 700rwhp on a 250 shot.
His mods were
Stock bottom end LQ9
unknown custom grind cam specs by Pat G.
P&P and .030 milled 317 heads.
stock 04-05 truck intake.
4l80e with a 3800 triple disc.
250 on the plate.
Matter as a fact I recorded a video of it about a year ago

what are your numbers if you dont mind?
Next question is PTV, I have obtained a set of LS3 heads now, milled .030 should get me to 64/65cc, thats how they came. Keep in mind I have -10cc pistons, what are my PTV issues if any, bore is 4.030.
PTV should be ok if I have -10cc dome correct?

Hard to even guess if you will have PTV issues without knowing the cam specs or if the pistons even have the correct valve reliefs cut into them or not. You may have to break out the Play-doh.
