I swapped out my hooker for a magnaflow because I wanted a totally stainless system
for the climate here.Seems to run the same just a touch quieter cruising wakes up nicely under throttle, hate the boom tube truck tips.

My magnaflow with LT's,ORP and a hotcam sounded incredable. I almost think it was louder than the GMMG I just replaced it with And I only did that because I got the GMMG for 100 bucks

Hey its your money. I'm sure thier wasn't more than maybe a 5hp gain their. What'd it cost? $400-$500 bucks? Stock cats are proven to flow as good as any after market, even though your new one may sound a little different.

Most OE cats are already high flow now-a-days.

I picked up 8hp with a catted RT-Y and my home P&P stock exhaust manifolds (no plans for headers)- I probably only got 4 or 5hp from the high flow cats. And you're right, its a poor bang-for-your-buck mod. But, the money wasn't a problem for me. And the sound improvement was a nice surprise.
