H or X pipe? in a 85 Vette w/LS1

H or X pipe? in a 85 Vette w/LS1 I am trying to figure out how to make my LS1 sound like all those amazing ones I hear go down the street. I can't put headers on it because it's in a 1985 Corvette. It got stock manifolds. And I have a Borla cat-back that I want to install. I will be going Cat-delete. So my question is what is the best , loudest sound I can get from this setup and how. LS1 is stock.

Your borla catback is a single 3" pipe.
An X or a H pipe has 2 outlets, you 'd need to make a Y merge to adapt the x or H to your borla.
At that point its kinda overkill and no benefits of H or X IMO.
If you want loud True Duals is way to go.

At that point what is the diff between X n H pipes?
I have no personal experience with h pipe yet but my x is great.
H pipe has a deeper sound to it , aka mustang sound. X is known for performance.
I know c5s came with x pipe not sure about yours.
What mufflers are you considering ?

This is the exhaust system I have ready to go on it

I have no problems cutting it up and using just the mufflers.
I am not looking for hp, but am more interested in sound at this point. So your thinking I should go H pipe then huh?

Those mufflers seem big in diameter and your car is lowered, very possible that you 'll scrape if you decided to do dumped before the axle.
Out the back wouldn't be a problem.

nothing to do with original post, however what transmission do you have? I have the same year/model. I was told by an older gentleman that restores Vetts that Bosch made a standard 6-speed, for late 80's and early 90's Vetts. I can not recall the specs., but I would like a standard that will easily connect to the LS1(that is with as little modification as possible) if you could help I would appreciate it! thank you.
