Very high idle after coil pack relocation??
Very high idle after coil pack relocation?? So I just did the coil pack relocate.....First issue I had was my mistake and I reversed the order on the coils the first time lol....got that fixed.
While I was at it I also painted quite a bit of engine bay parts and did some hydro graphics as well. Anyhow... I got it started, sounds fine but instead of idling down...it just goes up to about 3k and stays there....if I rev it, it stays even higher....Any ideas?
I have checked all connections and everything is plugged in where it is supposed to be so I am not quite sure what is going on?

Check your throttle cables, we did heads and cam on my ss and when starting it was around 2500 to 3000 rpms. Thought we had a vaccum leak but quickly found the throttle body was hanging open from moving the cables around. Mine routes from the pedal to a geared piece for the cruise control which terminates at the throttle body with two cables. By moving and pulling them out of the way they got out of adjustment. Also check to make sure you did not accidentally pull a vaccum hose loose. Things are tight in places and just moving things around they may come apart and you may not see it right away.
Thanks for the info...I have tried wiggling around the throttle cable and all of that. Dont see any open vaccum leaks anywhere..Nothing is in a bind...that was what I thought, Throttle cable bound up but its freely moving around.
